With Sailing always present in his life, José achieved 6 National Titles, between the ORC, SB20 and Dragon classes. He started his sailing journey in the North of Portugal, in Ria de Aveiro, during his summer holidays, on the boat Lusito. After learning to sail on this boat, he went to the Cadet, Vaurien, Laser and 470. He also practiced on the Snipe and on the J35. He really likes this class, as it doesn't share the cruise rating, it's simpler, the first to cross the Gate wins.

Nowadays, he continues sailing in every chance he gets and is a Member of the Executive Committee of the Clube Naval de Cascais, a Club recognized for having the best water plan in the World! A destination for all world-class sailors.
